Job summary

SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION MALAYSIA BERHAD is seeking a Client Management Officer to handle client outreach, onboarding and periodic KYC reviews, alongside daily operational tasks such as account openings, disbursements and facility renewals. You will work with Relationship Managers and cross-border teams to streamline documentation and service delivery.

The role requires a degree in business-related fields and at least 5 years in corporate banking or related customer-service roles,

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or other related discipline.
• Possess a qualified degree in related field, at least 5 years of corporate banking related experience and/or customer service and marketing related skillset.

Responsibilities

• Drive utilisation and frequent communication with clients to address operational needs, collaborating with product and back-office teams.
• Prepare and issue facility letters for new facilities and renewals.
• Work with legal counsels and RM teams on documentation; facilitate negotiations and obtain approvals.
• Streamline documentation and processes to improve efficiency while protecting the bank's interests.
• Lead client on-boarding and ensure timely KYC reviews.
• Monitor client accounts conduct and escalate anomalies to RM or management.
• Support LRM/GRM to manage client relationships and facilitate deal execution within SMBC network.
• Assist RM with sales pitches and marketing materials.
• Join RM for customer/site visits periodically.
• Adhere to internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide cross-cover for Business Support team.
