Job summary

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad is seeking a banking professional to support KYC processing, credit analysis, and daily operations within a dynamic team in Malaysia.

The role requires 2–6 years of banking experience with Commercial/Corporate clients, strong English communication skills, and knowledge of banking products. Japanese/Korean language ability is a plus. AICB qualification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Business Management or equivalent.
• AICB qualification is an added advantage.
• 2–6 years of banking experience with Commercial/Corporate customers.
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken (Japanese/Korean an advantage).

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with Relationship Manager to provide banking services and handle KYC for customers.
• Conduct credit analysis for customers to obtain approval and ensure smooth document circulation.
• Engage in various financial transactions and support daily operations.
• Assist and cooperate with colleagues and learn new banking tasks for new joiners.
• Maintain compliance with SMBCMY, SMBC Head Office, and regulatory requirements (KYC/AML, Large Loans, CCRIS, etc.).
• Provide timely reporting on irregular events and root cause analyses.
