Job summary

Nexperia Malaysia is seeking a Principal Engineer for Capacity Planning & Management to lead end-to-end capacity planning across assembly and test operations. You will ensure factory capacity aligns with demand, forecasts, and constraints while maximizing asset utilization and on-time delivery.

You will develop multi-year capacity plans, drive KPI reporting, lead a team of planners, and partner with production, engineering, and finance on CapEx and S&OP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
• 10+ years in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in assembly and test operations.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience with MES, ERP, and advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis).
• Proficiency in data analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term capacity plans.
• Translate demand forecasts into actionable capacity requirements (equipment, labor, floor space).
• Lead scenario planning and align strategies with cost, delivery, and flexibility targets.
• Monitor and manage factory loading to optimize utilization and reduce bottlenecks.
• Define CapEx needs and partner with finance on ROI analyses.
• Align factory output with customer demand and support S&OP processes.
• Lead capacity-Planning team and drive continuous improvement.
