Lockton in Malaysia is seeking a senior Lead Business & Systems Analyst to drive end-to-end analysis for digital and technology solutions across Asia. The role involves translating business needs into functional and system requirements, working with architects, developers and vendors through design, development, testing and deployment, and ensuring adoption across regions.

The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in business and systems analysis, plus 3–5 years in insurance or insurance broking.

Job description

Lead the end-to-end business and systems analysis for digital and technology solutions across Asia, translating business needs into clear functional and system requirements and supporting solutions from discovery through design, development, testing and implementation. This is a direct, full-time senior role based in Malaysia with periodic regional travel.

Responsibilities:

• Business & System Analysis: Own requirements end-to-end, translating business needs and processes into clear business, functional and system requirements. Analyse processes, data, integrations and system behaviours to ensure requirements are complete, traceable and actionable for technology teams.
• Solution Design & Development: Work closely with architects, developers and vendors to shape and validate solution designs, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into fit-for-purpose technology solutions. Provide analysis and clarification throughout development, resolving requirement and design gaps as they emerge.
• Solution Implementation & Adoption: Support the implementation and regional adoption of internally developed, vendor and global technology solutions, covering requirements, configuration, integration, testing, UAT and deployment. Ensure solutions meet agreed requirements and are ready for successful business adoption.
• Stakeholder & Delivery Partnership: Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, facilitating requirements, challenging assumptions and driving clarity and decisions throughout the delivery lifecycle. Build strong relationships across regional and global stakeholders and maintain alignment from discovery through implementation.
• Problem Analysis & Solution Definition: Analyse complex business and technology problems to identify root causes, challenge assumptions and evaluate solution options. Bring structured thinking and sound judgement to define pragmatic, fit-for-purpose solutions with business and technology teams.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6–8 years’ experience in business and systems analysis, including delivery of digital applications and technology solutions.
• 3–5 years’ hands-on experience within insurance or insurance broking, delivering technology solutions across areas such as broking platforms, policy administration, claims, CRM, workflow or client portals.
• Strong end-to‑end delivery experience, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, implementation and adoption.
• Strong requirements and solution analysis skills, including business and functional requirements, process flows, data requirements, integrations and APIs.
• Strong UAT, solution validation and Agile delivery experience, including user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology teams and work effectively across regional and global teams.
