Job summary

Michael Holmes Resources in Penang is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to lead digital transformation of warehouse and intralogistics. You will translate process problems into technology solutions and drive implementations end-to-end.

You will work across receiving, storage, picking, and movement, deploying AI, IoT, robotics, and automation, and collaborate with IT, manufacturing and supply chain to improve inventory visibility and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or related field.
• 3 to 10 years in a manufacturing environment focusing on material flow planning.
• Hands-on AI deployment experience and Industry 4.0 tech (automation, robotics, WCS).
• Strong SAP and MRP knowledge.
• Project management experience in cross-functional, tech-driven projects.
• Comfortable working independently under tight deadlines and managing ad hoc priorities.
• Good communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation projects covering warehouse operations, material flow, and intralogistics.

• Implement digital tools such as automated goods receipt and smart replenishment to improve visibility.
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows to optimise warehouse operations.
• Automate processes including goods receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, and transfer order management.
• Integrate systems using AI APIs, webhooks, and no-code/low-code platforms.
• Enable real-time data flow and decision support across warehouse and material flow systems.
• Monitor and analyse KPIs across receiving, warehousing, picking, and material flow.
• Lead rollouts of digital tools and automation; conduct user training and workshops.
• Work with manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to align logistics improvements with production needs.
• Maintain process maps, system architecture documentation, and governance for changes.
• Provide SAP intralogistics module support when required.

About the Role

A global manufacturing company in Penang's Free Trade Zone is hiring a Senior Business Process Analyst to lead digital transformation of its warehouse and intralogistics operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to translate process problems into technology solutions and actually see them through.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead transformation projects covering warehouse operations, material flow, and intralogistics
• Drive adoption of AI, IoT, robotics, and automation across receiving, storage, picking, and material movement
• Implement digital tools such as automated goods receipt and smart replenishment solutions to improve inventory visibility and warehouse execution
• AI, Automation & Systems Integration
• Design and deploy AI-powered workflows to optimise warehouse and logistics operations
• Automate processes including goods receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, and transfer order management
• Integrate systems using AI APIs, webhooks, and no-code/low-code platforms (e.g., N8N, OpenAI)
• Enable real-time data flow and decision support across warehouse and material flow systems
• Process Optimisation
• Drive warehouse performance through inventory reduction, space optimisation, and bottleneck elimination
• Lead Kanban and pull-based replenishment strategies to streamline material flow
• Data Analysis & Reporting
• Monitor and analyse KPIs across receiving, warehousing, picking, and material flow
• Work with the data analytics team to develop reports on warehouse capacity, bin utilisation, material aging, and transfer order performance
• Project & Change Management
• Lead rollouts of digital tools and automation solutions
• Conduct user training and workshops to support adoption
• Work with manufacturing, supply chain, and IT teams to align logistics improvements with production needs
• Documentation & Governance
• Maintain process maps, system architecture documentation, and working instructions
• Ensure governance and version control for all process and system changes
• Secondary: SAP Support
• Provide secondary support for SAP intralogistics modules
• Assist in troubleshooting warehouse and material flow system issues when required

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on material flow planning
• Hands-on experience in AI solution deployment and Industry 4.0 technologies (automation, robotics, WCS)
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and MRP
• Project management experience in cross-functional, technology-driven projects
