Job summary

AIA Malaysia is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive business and digital transformation through data-driven insights, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. You will translate business needs into effective solutions and partner with stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.

Experience in AI, Generative AI, automation, or analytics-related projects is a plus. You will lead end-to-end BA activities, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and promote best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA or PMP are a plus.
• 8-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Transformation, or related fields.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, Lean or Hybrid delivery.

This role is responsible for translating business needs into effective solutions and partnering with stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across strategic, operational, and transformation initiatives.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through stakeholder engagement, workshops, interviews, and data analysis.
• Translate complex business challenges into clear, structured, and actionable requirements.
• Develop business cases, process maps, user stories, functional specifications, and other project documentation.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Partner closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to align objectives and deliver outcomes.
• Act as the key liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and implemented.
• Facilitate workshops, discussions, and decision-making sessions to build consensus across stakeholders.

Insights & Strategic Support

• Analyse business processes, operational performance, and data trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Provide actionable recommendations that support strategic planning, digital transformation, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Contribute to the evaluation and prioritisation of business improvement opportunities and investment decisions.

Solution Delivery & Continuous Improvement

• Support solution design, testing, implementation, and post-implementation reviews.
• Monitor performance and effectiveness of implemented solutions and recommend enhancements where required.
• Promote best practices in business analysis, process improvement, documentation, and reporting standards.
• Champion the adoption of tools, methodologies, and innovative approaches that improve business outcomes.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, PMP, or related credentials will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Business Analysis, Business Transformation, Project Delivery, or related disciplines, with proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong experience partnering with senior business stakeholders to identify opportunities, define business requirements, and drive strategic outcomes.
• Proven track record in business process transformation, operational improvement, digital initiatives, or enterprise-wide change programmes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business challenges into practical and scalable solutions.
• Experience leading requirements management, business process analysis, solution design, and implementation activities across multiple projects.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, Lean, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, Microsoft Excel, and other business analysis or reporting platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead discussions, build consensus, and drive decision‑making across business and technology teams.
• Experience supporting or delivering AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Automation, Data Analytics, or Digital Transformation initiatives will be a strong advantage.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring high-quality delivery and business impact.
• Proven ability to mentor team members and promote best practices in business analysis and continuous improvement.
