Job summary

Appfuxion in Malaysia is seeking a experienced Business Analyst to bridge business needs and tech delivery. You will collaborate with stakeholders, elicit requirements, document user stories, and ensure clear communication with developers, QA, and UX designers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in software/Agile settings, proficiency with JIRA/Confluence/Trello, and familiarity with databases or APIs. Fintech or Insurance domain knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in writing user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Experience with requirements management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
• Knowledge of databases or APIs is a plus.

Job description

Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to clearly understand their requirements, scope, painpoints, and goals.

Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements through assessments, workshops,interviews, user stories, and process analysis.

Translate business requirements into detailed, concise, and actionable user stories or specificationsfor the development team.

Work closely with developers, QA engineers, UI/UX designers, solution architects, and specializedteams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented correctly.

Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives in an Agile/Scrumenvironment.

Support testing activities by helping to define test cases, performing UAT, and validating deliverablesmeet business expectations.

Assist in change management and training materials preparation.

Act as a point of contact between business units and the development team, ensuringconsistent alignment, communication, resources, and dependencies.

Monitor, coordinate and be liaison with client for change request, post-support or maintenanceservices

Champion business analysis best practices, often mentoring junior analysts and shaping BA standards

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.

Act as a domain expert, often specializing in finance, healthcare, retail, or other verticals.

Continuously evaluate business processes to recommend improvements or enhancements.

Propose innovative solutions that blend business strategy with technological capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a software development or Agile environment.
• Proficiency in writing user stories, use cases, and process flows.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non- technical stakeholders.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with software development concepts and workflows.
• Experience with wireframing tools (e.g., Figma).
• Basic knowledge of databases or APIs.
• Domain knowledge in Fintech or Insurance will be an added advantage.
