Job summary

HTC Global Services MSC Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Backup Infrastructure professional to support, maintain, and enhance the global backup platform across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will design, implement, and manage backup policies across AWS, Azure, and on‑premises, ensuring data protection and compliance.

You will monitor daily backup, restore, and archive operations, optimise capacity and performance, and collaborate with global teams in an Agile/SAFe environment to maintain CDM

Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise backup infrastructure and data protection solutions.
• Hands-on experience managing backup solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of AWS services, especially S3, RDS, and EBS.
• Experience with Azure Recovery Services and Azure SQL backup solutions.
• Understanding of backup, restore, archiving, DR and data retention policies.
• Experience in capacity management, performance tuning and incident management (L2/L3).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience with global teams and Agile/SAFe is an advantage.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Backup Infrastructure professional to support, maintain, and enhance the company's global backup platform across on-premises and cloud environments. The role involves managing backup policies across AWS and Azure, ensuring data protection and compliance, coordinating backup and restore operations, and handling Level 2 and Level 3 incidents in collaboration with global teams.

Key responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage backup policies across AWS (S3, RDS, EBS), Azure (Recovery Services, SQL), and on-premises environments.

Monitor and manage daily backup, restore, and archive operations to ensure service availability and data integrity.

Ensure backup solutions comply with business requirements, security standards, and legal or regulatory obligations.

Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and backup infrastructure optimisation.

Handle Level 2 and Level 3 incidents, troubleshoot complex backup issues, and implement preventive measures.

Maintain and enhance the Continuous Data Management (CDM) platform to ensure reliable and efficient operations.

Collaborate with global infrastructure teams and stakeholders within an Agile environment following SAFe principles.

About you

Strong experience in enterprise backup infrastructure and data protection solutions.

Hands-on experience managing backup solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.

Good knowledge of AWS services, particularly S3, RDS, and EBS.

Experience with Azure Recovery Services and Azure SQL backup solutions.

Strong understanding of backup, restore, archiving, disaster recovery, and data retention policies.

Experience in capacity management, performance tuning, and Level 2/Level 3 incident management.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Experience working with global teams and Agile/SAFe methodologies is an advantage.
