Job summary

Golden Destinations by ICE Holidays Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced backend developer to own and enhance the .NET Core codebase. You will build and maintain supplier integrations, implement full booking lifecycles, and ensure data consistency across the integration platform and booking engine.

You will review designs, collaborate with product and QA teams, and contribute to production support, monitoring, incident handling and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years backend development experience with C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+.
• Strong experience integrating REST and SOAP/XML APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and EF Core.
• Experience with automated tests (xUnit/NUnit) and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party travel suppliers across several product types.
• Implement the full booking lifecycle for each supplier, including search, availability, price check, booking, amendments, cancellations and ticketing.
• Ensure booking, order and financial records remain consistent between the supplier integration platform and the Company's booking engine.
• Build new supplier adapters as the business expands its supplier network.
• Review supplier designs, code and API contracts, including deliverables developed by external partners.
• Take ownership of the .NET Core codebase, including bug fixes, upgrades, performance improvements and security.
• Support the platform in production by monitoring supplier errors and timeouts, handling failed bookings and managing retry processes.
• Participate in the on-call rota and assist with production incidents to maintain the stability and reliability of the platform.
• Review code submitted by other engineers and outsourced developers, ensuring that agreed review standards are followed.
• Prepare technical specifications and API documentation that can be used effectively by the Product, QA and frontend teams.

About the role

Golden Destinations by ICE Holidays Sdn Bhd is a leading B2B outbound travel agency based in Malaysia, specializing in creating customized and high-quality travel experiences for our business clients across the ASEAN region. We pride ourselves on providing excellent service and innovative travel solutions. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Golden Destinations by ICE Holidays Sdn Bhd's office in Malaysia.

Key responsibilities

Build and maintain integrations with third-party travel suppliers across several product types.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of backend development experience, including at least 3 years with C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+ (ASP.NET Core Web API).

Strong experience integrating third-party REST and SOAP/XML APIs, with knowledge of authentication, rate limits, timeouts, retries and idempotency.

Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server), Entity Framework Core and query tuning; experience with asynchronous processing, messaging systems and caching tools such as Redis.

Experience writing automated tests (xUnit or NUnit), using Git and pull-request reviews, and working with CI/CD pipelines.

Experience supporting live production systems, including logging, monitoring and incident handling; experience stabilising an existing codebase is an advantage.

Ability to review technical designs and code, prepare clear technical documentation, and explain technical trade-offs.

Familiarity with Docker, AWS, Azure or GCP, infrastructure as code, and security practices for third-party credentials (e.g. vaults and key rotation); PCI DSS awareness is an advantage.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English & Malay.
