Job summary

Vistra Malaysia is seeking a Senior Associate, Fund Services to support private equity real estate funds and investment holding entities. You will be the main client contact, prepare management accounts, financial statements and coordinate audits, delivering timely client service across regional accounts.

The role requires a degree in accountancy/finance (CPA/ACCA/ACA), at least 5 years in the fund industry, and strong Excel/MS Word skills.

Qualifications

• Private Equity/Real Estate or fund industry experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years relevant working experience.
• Degree in accountancy (CPA/ACCA/ACA) or finance or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS and US GAAP.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Word.
• Effective client-handling skills
• Strong prioritizing ability and organizational skills
• Analytical, meticulous and systematic in approach to work
• Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and multi-task
• Independent and resourceful
• Self motivated, diligent, positive working attitude and strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Account for private equity real estate funds and investment holding entities.
• Be the primary client contact for assigned client accounts; respond promptly to client requests.
• Prepare stand-alone and consolidated management accounts and schedules.
• Draft annual financial statements and related FRS/IFRS/US GAAP disclosures; coordinate annual audits.
• Process capital calls and distributions; perform management and incentive fee calculations.
• Calculate investor and fund NAV and prepare investor statements.
• Understand fund documents and ensure fund compliance with terms.
• Monitor regulatory deadlines for GST, tax filings.
• Coordinate with Vistra offices on client deliverables; liaise with external providers.
• Onboard funds to Yardi and contribute to new functionality implementation.
• Undertake general administration and other projects.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager/Manager, Fund Services, this full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Fund Services and its growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the accounting and administration of private equity real estate funds and investment holding entities.
• Be the primary client service contact for assigned client accounts. Respond promptly to client requests. Strengthen client relationships
• Prepare stand‑alone and consolidated management accounts and schedules
• Draft annual financial statements and related FRS/IFRS/US GAAP disclosures. Co-ordinate annual audits.
• Process capital calls and distributions. Perform management fee and incentive fee calculations
• Calculate investor and fund NAV and prepare investor statements
• Understand fund documents and ensure fund’s compliance with relevant terms.
• Monitor/adhere to Singapore regulatory deadlines for quarterly GST, annual and tax filings
• Coordinate with colleagues in other Vistra offices on client deliverables
• Coordinate with clients’ other service providers, including offshore accountants, asset/property managers, auditors and banks to ensure smooth service delivery
• Onboard funds to Yardi and coordinate with internal service team on client specific requirements. Participate in implementation of new functionality
• Undertake general administration and other projects as assigned
