Job summary

Vistra in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Assistant Accountant to join the Regional Finance team and support invoicing, receivables, and month-end activities. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Regional Finance and offers regional coverage from Malaysia.

This full-time position emphasizes accuracy, deadline-driven work, and collaborative support across jurisdictions, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth through ACCA reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in accounting or finance.
• 1–3 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Fresh grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers per services or products.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies by reviewing accounts and applying adjustments.
• Maintain and update customer billing records, track charges and payments.
• Monitor incoming payments and ensure correct application to accounts; follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with audit and month-end closing activities.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

This full-time and permanent position is based in Malaysia and offers regional coverage, allowing you to make a significant impact to our Finance Operation and its’ growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers based on services or products provided, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies by reviewing accounts, identifying errors, and applying necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and update customer billing records, tracking charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Monitor incoming payments, ensure they are applied correctly to accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with audit and month end closing activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties

Key requirements

• Meticulous attention to fine detail and able to work to tight deadlines and multi tasking.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Ability to organise and prioritize work with minimum supervision
• Strong team player
• Prior experience in handling account receivable is a great advantage.
• Experience in the shared services and in handling companies in various jurisdictions is an advantage
• Recognized Degree / Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
• At least with 1-3 years of experiences in accounting/finance.
