Vistra in Malaysia invites you to join as Senior Assistant, Accountant - Accounts Payable, a full-time permanent role based in Bangsar South. You will support end-to-end AP processes, ensure timely invoice processing, and maintain strong vendor relationships within a regional finance operation.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or Degree in Accounting, 1–3 years of AP experience, and is proficient in Excel and SAP.

Responsabilidades

• Process vendor invoices in line with policies and approvals.
• Perform 3-way matching where applicable.
• Process vendor payments, including overseas.
• Prepare payment proposals for approval.
• Handle staff expense claims per reimbursement policies.
• Maintain and reconcile vendor master data.
• Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist monthly closing activities and accruals.
• Support audits with schedules and documentation.
• Support process improvements to AP and controls.

The Senior Assistant, Accountant - Accounts Payable is responsible for supporting the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reimbursements. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and approval matrix.
• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and goods receipt notes (if applicable).
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments (local and overseas).
• Prepare and review payment proposals and submit for approval.
• Handle staff expense claims in accordance with company reimbursement policies.
• Maintain vendor master data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Respond to internal and external payment-related inquiries.
• Assist with monthly closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
• Assist in process improvement initiatives to enhance AP efficiency and internal controls.
• Perform ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounting role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable.
• Prior experience in a shared services or multinational environment is an advantage.
