Job summary

Secretariat in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior Associate for its Construction Quantum team to join a growing group of quantity surveyors, engineers, and dispute-resolution specialists. You will support testifying experts and help craft expert reports, with a clearly defined path to becoming a testifying expert in your own right.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience on construction projects, strong MS Office and CostX/BIM skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in building construction, engineering, quantity surveying or related field.
• 1-5 or more years’ experience in quantity surveying, cost engineering, contracts management, or construction management.
• Strong software skills: MS Office (Word & Excel), CostX / BIM / Buildsoft / Expert Estimation or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable with large data sets.
• Able to adapt to a dynamic consultancy environment.
• Able to develop creative approaches and solutions to resolve complex problems.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Support testifying Expert Witnesses with a long-term view of becoming a testifying expert.
• Perform data research, management, and analysis; assist in drafting expert reports.
• Review drawings, specifications, reports, estimates, variations, and financial data to identify key details for expert reports.
• Assist in analysis or preparation of claims.
