Job summary

Vistra is seeking an Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our team in Bangsar South, KL. You will report to the Senior Manager, Regional Finance, and support regional finance operations with invoicing, billing reconciliations, and month-end activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Prior AR experience is advantageous; the position offers flexible hybrid working arrangements and

• Fluent in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Independent and self-motivated with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers based on services or products provided.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and adjust accounts as needed.
• Maintain and update customer billing records and track charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Monitor incoming payments and apply them correctly to accounts; follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with audit and month-end closing activities.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate, review, and issue accurate invoices to customers based on services or products provided, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies by reviewing accounts, identifying errors, and applying necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and update customer billing records, tracking charges, payments, and adjustments.
• Monitor incoming payments, ensure they are applied correctly to accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with audit and month end closing activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in spoken and written Japanese, including reading ability is a must
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Meticulous attention to fine detail and able to work to tight deadlines and multi-tasking.

• Ability to organise and prioritize work with minimum supervision
• Strong team player
• Prior experience in handling account receivable is a great advantage.
• Experience in the shared services and in handling companies in various jurisdictions is an advantage
• Recognized Degree / Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
