Job summary

Mission Consultancy Services in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an IT Applications Specialist to provide system and functional support for core business platforms, including ERP, SCM, and batching plant systems. You will help deploy projects across HQ and Plants, analyze data, develop dashboards, and train end users.

You will promote AI-driven workflows and automation to improve efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and enable end-user adoption of BI tools across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting or managing ERP, SCM, and/or Plant systems.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar database and server platforms.
• Practical experience in ETL development, data processing, and/or system integration across multiple business applications.
• Good understanding of business process workflows involving ERP, SCM, and Batching Plant systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify, resolve, and support functional users in addressing system-related issues.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL, particularly for data extraction, querying, and manipulation.
• Good understanding of ETL concepts and practical experience with ETL tools.
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data to generate meaningful business insights.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Business Objects, Jet Reports, or other SQL-based reporting and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to develop SQL scripts and basic programming skills, with knowledge of Python considered an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Power BI, Power Apps, Microsoft Forms, and Power Automate.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for providing system and functional support for key business applications, including SCM, ERP, Batching Plant systems, softphone systems, and other online platforms.

Assist in the implementation and deployment of application-related projects across the Central and Eastern regions, including Headquarters (HQ) and Plant operations.

Analyze business data, develop reports and dashboards to support informed decision-making, provide training and guidance to end users, resolve system-related issues, and promote the adoption of AI and digital tools to automate workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES

Qualification / Formal Education
