Job summary

Jora Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur seeks a Senior API & Microservices Developer to design, develop, and support API-driven services using Java Spring Boot within WAM and OPI platforms. You will be aligned to either the API Gateway (WAM) or Java Microservices (OPI) stream based on expertise.

You will work with Architects, BA, QA, and dev teams to deliver scalable, secure backend services, ensure API security and performance, and participate in CI/CD and DevOps practices in Unix/Linux environments.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in Java development, API development, or Microservices development.
Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot – Mandatory.
Experience with API gateways and API management platforms is a plus.
Proven track record in Unix/Linux environments and RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with Oracle DB/Cassandra DB is advantageous.
Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, SSO, and MFA integration is beneficial.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot.
Develop and support API management solutions using Axway API Manager/Gateway or similar platforms.
Build scalable backend services for enterprise applications across WAM/OPI platforms.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, BA, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Ensure API security, performance, scalability, availability, and reliability across environments.
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis; participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
Support deployment and operations in Unix/Linux environments.
