Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Backend Lead specialized in Java to design and deliver robust backend systems and RESTful APIs. You will guide the team, drive a microservices architecture with Spring Boot, and ensure secure, scalable delivery.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of backend experience, 2+ in lead roles, AWS/Azure/GCP familiarity, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and OWASP practices. We value collaboration with frontend teams and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience with 2+ years in lead/senior roles.
• Experience with Java 8+ and Spring ecosystem including Boot, MVC and Data JPA.
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of enterprise backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with Frontend Lead and Architect to ensure seamless integration.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming and workshops.
• Drive best practices in clean code, testing and documentation.
