Job summary

HELP University in Malaysia seeks an experienced advisor to engage adult learners and working professionals through APEL pathways, focusing on APEL.Q. You will assess needs, advise on learning routes, and facilitate recognition of prior learning.

The role requires coordinating APEL.Q assessments, working with academic staff to ensure fair and compliant processes, and promoting lifelong learning through partnerships and outreach within the university and industry.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education, Management, Psychology, or related fields.
• Familiarity with APEL (APEL.Q) or adult learning frameworks.
• Experience in higher education / training or with adult learners / executive education.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and familiarity with AI-enabled tools for advisory support.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for adult learners and working professionals.
• Advise on APEL pathways (especially APEL.Q) and suitable progression routes.
• Guide candidates in preparing portfolios and documentation for assessment.
• Support and coordinate APEL.Q assessment processes with advisors/assessors/moderators.
• Ensure alignment with MQA guidelines and institutional policies.
• Engage with industry partners and communities to promote APEL opportunities.
• Coordinate with faculties and administrative units to ensure smooth communication.
