Averis Sdn Bhd is seeking aSenior Analyst to support information governance, compliance, and data protection across the enterprise. You will assist in policy development, retention and archival services, and governance reporting while collaborating with Technical, Security, Legal and Business teams.

The role suits individuals with IT operations, compliance, information governance, records management, or tech risk experience seeking broader governance responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/IS or related fields.
2–5 years of experience in Information Governance, IT Compliance, Information Management or IT Operations.
Proficient in Excel for data analysis, reporting and information management; experience with automation/workflow tools (Power Automate, Office Scripts, Power Query, VBA) is advantageous.

Senior Analyst, Information Governance & Compliance

We’re looking for anInformation Governance & ComplianceAnalyst to join ourData Governance function.This role supports the governance, protection, retention, and compliant use of enterprise information assets by ensuring that technology controls, data protection processes, and information management practices align with organizational policiesandrequirements.

The successful candidate will support compliance monitoring, information governance activities, management reporting,archiving solutionsmanagement, operational risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

This role is suitable for individuals with experience in IT operations, compliance, information governance, records management, or technology risk who are looking to expand into a broader governance and information management function.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Governance

Support the implementation and maintenance of information governance, compliance, and data protection standards.
Assist in developing and maintaining policies,procedures, standardsand operating guidelines.

Information Governance & Operational Reporting

Support operational governance activities through data analysis, reporting and control monitoring.
Administer and support enterprise information retention, retrieval, and archival services.
Maintain documentation, records, and audit trails supporting governance and compliance requirements.
Assist with information retrieval and recovery requests in accordance with approved processes.
Support the preparation of periodic governance and compliance reports for management review.
Work with technical teams to ensuretechnologycontrols areimplementedaccordingtogovernance and compliancerequirements.
Identify and assess potential governance, compliance, and operational risks across technology processes and platforms.
Support risk remediation tracking and follow-up activities.
Assist internal and external auditors by preparing documentation, reports, and supporting evidence.
Collaborate with Technology, Security, Legal, and Business teams to support governance initiatives.
Build strong working relationships across functions to support information governance objectives.
Demonstrate responsiveness, accuracy, and professionalism when handling operational requests and governance activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science,Information Systems, Business Information Managementorrelated disciplines.
2-5years of experience inInformation Governance,ITCompliance,Information Managementor ITOperations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and information management; experience with automation and workflow tools such as Power Automate, Office Scripts, Power Query, VBA, or similar technologies is advantageous.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with Archiving Solutions, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Data Governance concepts.
Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, or other IT governance/compliance credentials are advantageous.
Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, server management, or enterprise systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
