About the role

PERFECT SMARTCOOL SOLUTION SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Senior Aircond Technician to join our Trades & Services team in Melaka Tengah, Melaka. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to lead and mentor junior technicians whilst providing expert air-conditioning solutions to our valued clients. As a Senior Aircond Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing complex installations, maintenance, and repairs of air-conditioning systems, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal to our operations, combining technical expertise with leadership capabilities to drive excellence across our service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing air-conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex air-conditioning faults and mechanical issues with precision
• Conducting routine maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal system performance and longevity
• Mentoring and supervising junior technicians on best practices and safety protocols
• Ensuring all work is completed to the highest technical standards and in compliance with relevant regulations and safety guidelines
• Managing and prioritising multiple service calls and projects to meet client deadlines
• Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and installations completed
• Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions
• Identifying opportunities for system improvements and cost-effective solutions
• Adhering to health and safety standards on all job sites

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as an air-conditioning technician with demonstrated expertise in installation, maintenance, and repairs
• Strong technical knowledge of air-conditioning systems, refrigeration principles, and electrical components
• Valid certification or qualification in air-conditioning and refrigeration (or equivalent recognised credentials)
• Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults
• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor junior staff members
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
• A valid driving licence and reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to customer service
• Familiarity with air-conditioning brands, models, and industry standards (preferred)
• Experience in commercial or industrial air-conditioning systems (preferred)
