Alpha Ocean Resources Berhad, a Malaysia-based tuna fishing and trading company, is seeking a Senior Accounts & Finance Executive. The role focuses on hands-on accounting, finance, reporting, and compliance to support informed management decisions.

You will manage daily accounting operations, assist in financial reporting, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and authorities. The position requires solid accounting background and at least 2 years of experience.

• Prepare full or partial sets of accounts.

About the roleWe are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Senior Accounts & Finance Executive to join our team. This role is suitable for candidates who are hands-on, organized, and comfortable handling accounting, finance, reporting, and compliance-related tasks.

The ideal candidate should be able to manage daily accounting operations, assist in financial reporting, support audit and tax matters, and work closely with management to ensure accurate financial information for business decisions.

Candidates with experience dealing with Bursa Malaysia, listed companies, corporate reporting, or public-listed company compliance will have an added advantage.

What you'll be doing

Handle daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and payment processing

Prepare full set or partial set of accounts, depending on experience level

Assist in monthly management accounts, financial reports, and cash flow monitoring

Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and relevant authorities

Assist in SST, tax, audit, and compliance matters

Monitor company expenses, supplier payments, customer collections, and financial records

Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting

Assist in corporate finance, Bursa-related documentation, or listed-company reporting where applicable

Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

Perform any other finance or administrative duties assigned by management

What we're looking for

Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, LCCI, or equivalent

Candidates with MIA certification will be an added advantage

Minimum 2 years of working experience in accounting or finance

Experience in manufacturing, trading, audit firm, or corporate finance environment is an advantage

Experience dealing with Bursa Malaysia / public-listed company matters will be an added advantage

Able to handle accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Good attention to detail, responsible, and able to meet deadlines

Able to work independently and communicate well with internal teams

Strong sense of confidentiality and accountability

Candidates with full-set account experience will be preferred
