Job summary

IAQ Group in Malaysia seeks an experienced AP professional to manage end-to-end accounts payable functions and related finance activities. The role includes vendor liaison, invoice processing, reconciliations, and project reporting within a growing EPCC and maintenance-focused group.

The candidate should have 5+ years in construction accounting, strong English skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Immediate start is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting/finance.
• At least 5 years of AP experience in construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Good command of English in both spoken and written.
• Able to adapt to changes and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the entire accounts payable function such as key-in invoice, payment arrangements, AP reconciliation, AP aging management and staff claim.
• Liaise with commercial and procurement team on the disputes and discrepancies invoice and other related supporting documents.
• Handle daily operation matters.
• Monthly bank reconciliation.
• To prepare monthly project summary report and monitor the project performance.
• Perform various operational variance analysis and identify root cause of variance.
• Support corporate exercise and backup finance operation team.
• Assist yearly audits.
• Able to handle full set of accounts is an added advantage.
• To perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Job description

Requirements: -

5 years working experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage;

High level of integrity drives and result oriented;

Good knowledge and basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures;

Good command of English in both spoken and written;

Knowledge in SQL or IFCA accounting software is an added advantage;

Able to adapt flexibilities in job scope revision and enhancement;

Able to work independently under minimum supervision;

Team player with strong communication and supervisory skills;

Good interpersonal, communication skills and proactive;

Able to start immediately will be an added advantage.
