SQA Builders Sdn Bhd in Klang, Selangor, is recruiting a Senior Accounts Executive for our finance team. This full-time role supports financial operations, maintains records, and assists in preparing financial statements.

You will manage AP/AR, payroll support, and liaise with auditors and tax advisers to ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a accounting/finance degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong Excel and accounting software skills.

Qualificações

• Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent accounting qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in construction or building services.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices and financial reporting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
• Ability to work independently whilst also being a supportive team player.
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

About the role We are seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to join our finance team in Klang, Selangor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and administrative functions of our organisation. As Senior Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for managing key accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing essential support to the accounting department. This position is vital to maintaining the financial integrity of the company and supporting informed business decision-making.

Key responsibilities

Processing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports

Performing bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies

Supporting the processing of invoices, expense claims and payment vouchers

Assisting with payroll administration and related compliance matters

Maintaining organised filing systems for financial documents and ensuring proper record retention

What we’re looking for

Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent accounting qualification

Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a similar capacity within the construction or building services industry

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices and financial reporting standards

Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies accurately

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments

Reliable and trustworthy with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information

Ability to work independently whilst also being a supportive team player

Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous

Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia and English. Knowledge of Mandarin is of added advantage.
