Job summary

SMLau Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive / Senior Accounts Executive for our Happy Garden, Kuala Lumpur office. You will handle the full set of accounts and work closely with the Head of Accounts & Finance on matters, controls, and process improvements.

You will supervise Accounts Assistants, manage month-end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting, plus basic corporate and enterprise tax, SST, e-Invoice, and other compliance tasks across multiple group companies.

Qualifications

• Good accounting knowledge with relevant working experience
• Able to handle full set of accounts independently
• Practical knowledge of basic corporate and enterprise tax preparation and submission
• Able to review and supervise Accounts Assistants’ work
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting systems
• Knowledge of SST and e Invoice is an added advantage
• Experience in construction, accounting firms or handling multiple companies is an added advantage
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Responsible, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Mandarin speaking preferred
• Able to start immediately or within short notice is an added advantage
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred. Candidates with strong practical experience and capabilities are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle full set of accounts independently and work with the Head of Accounts & Finance on accounting matters, problem solving, process improvements and strengthening internal controls.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, company secretary and other external parties; support accounting and finance matters across multiple companies within the Group.
• Review and supervise Accounts Assistants’ work; manage month end closing, reconciliations and financial reporting; handle basic corporate and enterprise tax preparation and submission (SST, e-Invoice, etc.).
• Contribute to improving accounting processes, systems and templates across the Group.
