Job summary

Hirehub Group in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage complex journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings. The role supports reporting and controls across finance functions.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, with CPA preferred, and have 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA is preferred but not required.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and month-end close.
• ERP systems experience is advantageous (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Microsoft Dynamics).
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record complex journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and schedules.
• Analyze financial results and explain variances.

• Participate in system enhancements and finance transformation projects.
