Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a skilled accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts, including AP/AR, GL and bank reconciliations. You will prepare monthly and year-end financial statements and management reports, monitor cash flow, and ensure timely tax filings and statutory reports.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, familiarity with AutoCount or ERP systems, and knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant working experience in accounting.
• Experience in handling full sets of accounts is an advantage.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as AutoCount or other ERP systems.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented, organised and able to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
• Candidates with relevant professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and financial transactions to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax-related documents and statutory reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant authorities when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
• Review accounting entries, invoices, payment vouchers and supporting documents.
• Assist in budgeting, financial analysis and forecasting.
• Maintain proper accounting records and ensure accurate filing of financial documents.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by the superior.
