Job summary

A leading finance company in Malaysia is looking for a Financial Manager to focus on financial management, budgeting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience, preferably in the property development sector. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, overseeing daily operations, and liaising with auditors. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach. Working days are Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must possess a professional degree in Finance, Accountancy, or Banking.
• At least 8 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience in auditing is preferred.

Job description

Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial management reports and accounts.

Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage cash flow, working capital and treasury functions.

Oversee the daily financial operations, budgeting and taxation functions.

Examinate and improve areas of internal controls and ensure proper maintenance of financial records.

Budgetary control and budget preparation.

Liaise with auditors in respect of audits, compliance and risk management issues.

Liaise with banker, auditors, tax agents, company secretary &other statutory

Plan, organize, lead and motivate team members in Finance Department.

Undertake specific assignments as instructed from time to time

MANAGEMENT & ACCOUNTING

Work with individuals from all function areas in preparing, analyzing and communicating information to provide relevant, accurate, timely information that will be helpful to the management for decision-making.

FINANCIAL & TAXATION

Review monthly management accounts, balance sheet schedules and key performance indicators.

Review and ensure financial statements are prepared according to accounting standards.

Responsible for year-end closing and liaison with external auditors for annual financial audit.

Liaising with external auditors and tax agent to ensure compliance with statutory audit/tax requirements.

Review tax estimates and tax submission to the Inland Revenue Authority.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must possess at least Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent. (ACCA/CIMA/MIA).

At least 8 years of working experience in the related files is required for this position.

Preferably candidate with audit experience.

Preferably managers specializing in Finance - Property Development.

Preferably familiar with property development/construction industry.

Preferably good IT knowledge.

Able to handle all matters in private and confidential manner.

Able to meet deadlines and work independent.

Those who are able to work in short notice are preferred.

Working 5 days a week. (Monday to Friday)
