Job summary

BP Healthcare Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial accounting, prepare periodic reports, manage the full set of accounts, and ensure tax compliance and internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting/Finance, professional qualifications (MIA/CPA, CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA), at least five years’ experience, and proficiency in MS Office and Google applications; ability to work under pressure.

Immediate availability is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting/Finance; professional qualifications preferred (MIA/CPA).
• Qualified accountant with CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent (e.g., CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting/finance; solid MS Office and Google apps proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting and preparation of periodic financial reporting.
• Manage full set of accounts including costing, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Review and approve complex journal entries, general ledger, and balance sheet accounts.
• Implement internal controls and procedures related to finance and credit control.
• Assist in policy implementation and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax.

Job description

We are recruiting Senior Accountant post at the following location:

Job Descriptions:

• Responsible for financial accounting including preparation of periodic financial reporting, management reports, submission of applicable taxes and handling full set of accounts;
• To manage accounting operations, costing, budgeting and cash flow management;
• Reviews, verifies and approves complex journal entries, general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and administrative systems;
• Initiate internal control and procedures relating to finance, credit control, inventory and other account-related activities;
• Assist in implementation of financial and accounting policies as well as improvising procedures and internal control to ensure compliance of accounting standard, company tax;
• To monitor and oversee the collections and billing operations;
• To supervise, monitor and provide guidance to subordinates on accounting related matters;
• Overseeing internal audit functions and liaising with external parties for account related matters such as internal and external auditors, tax agents, lawyers etc;
• Performing analysis of procurement and purchasing reports;
• To provide necessary support to the Management in managing profitability of the business of the Group;

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, Master's Degree in Accounting/Finance or any equivalent qualification (MIA, CPA);
• Candidate must be a qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA);
• Minimum 5 years working experience;
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office and Google applications; and
• Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines, detail-oriented and employs a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Being able to start immediately is an added advantage
