Job description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Responsible to assist the management with the functions of financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, decision making and other matters relating to the financial management of the Company.

JOB DESCRIPTION
  1. Accounting functions
    • To ensure that all books and records necessary for the final preparation of financial statement are kept and maintained in an efficient and orderly manner.
    • Responsible for the management of the monthly finalization of financial statements to ensure deadlines are met.
    • To ensure all Malaysian financial reporting standards that are relevant to the Company are adopted.
    • To ensure that the Company adhered to the rules and regulations per the Companies Act 1965, Income Tax Act 1967 and Financial Reporting Act 1997.
  2. Budgetary and reporting functions
    • To ensure monthly financial report and its supporting schedules are prepared and submitted to the Finance Manager / Chief Executive officer and the holding company on timely manner.
    • To ensure monthly management reports are compiled accordingly for review by the Chief Executive Officer and submission to the holding company on timely manner.
    • Analyze the Company’s financial performance and all indicators and make recommendations to the management for improvements on identified areas.
    • Liaising with the external auditors, internal auditors, tax agents, bankers, corporate office on related matters as and when required.
    • Responsible to ensure timely reporting of audited financial statements and filing of tax assessments to the relevant statutory bodies.
    • To ensure preparation of annual tax estimates and submits tax information for tax computation purposes for submission to Inland Revenue Board.
    • Leading role in the preparation of the Company’s annual budget which includes preparing the detailed data and reports for approval by the management and Board of Directors.
  3. Treasury functions
    • To monitor the cash inflows and outflows of the Company to ensure proper cash management process are in place.
    • Vet through the payment vouchers for any irregularities, which will include payroll, credit payments, expenses on petty cash, etc.
    • To verify the monthly statement of Consultants’ Income prepared by the Senior Clerk / Clerk and ensure its accuracy and to check the payment details to the consultants before authorization by the Chief Executive Officer and the authorized signatories.
    • To supervise and monitor a comprehensive physical stock count exercise, to be carried out on quarterly basis.
    • To ensure the Company’s assets are safeguarded and proper security controls are in place.
    • To monitor the hospital’s equipment utilization and recommend for improvement.
  4. Staff management
    • To ensure all staff has adequate chance for training and development to ensure they have the appropriate level of skills and exposure to perform adequately and efficiently.
    • To monitor the performance of the staff via performance appraisals and feedback from their fellow peers and supervisors.
    • To take the role of mentor to the staff as and when the need arise.
  5. OSH Act & Regulations 1994
    • Responsible and accountable to carry out duties as employee stipulated in OSH Act & Regulations 1994.
    • To take reasonable to carry at work for the safety of yourself and other persons.
    • To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty.
    • To were or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer.
    • To comply with any instruction and measure on occupational safety and health.
  6. Baby Friendly Concept
    • Responsible and accountable to adhere to the steps of successful breastfeeding as requirement.
  7. Patient Safety Goal
    • Ensure compliance of Patient Safety Goals as safety improvement measures as recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety.
    • Ensure the policies on Patient and Family’s Rights are addressed at all times.
  8. Integrated Management System
    • Participates actively and encourages compliance to all policies and Procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 : 2015, Malaysian Hospital Accreditation Standards and PSG.
  9. PDPA Act 2010
    • To review and adopt internal personal data protection policies and practices to comply with the PDPA Act 2010.
  10. Participate actively in any new service that is introduced
    • Ensure produce better result and Continual Improvement in deliver service to customers.
  11. To perform any others duties as and when required by the management
    • Produce outcome within the expectation of the shareholder and customers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM PREFERED

Bachelor’s Degree from recognized university.

Degree in Accountancy / Finance or professional qualification.

A member with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT List the minimum and preferred qualifications MINIMUM PREFERED

  • Good interpersonal, communication skill and fluent in both spoken and written in Bahasa and English.
  • 3 years experiences in Accounting and Financial management
  • IT literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong leadership qualities, nature, independent with a strong sense of self initiative and motivation.
  • Good command in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both in writing and speaking.
  • Strong analytical skills, good knowledge in budgetary, financial controls and costing, tax, accounting technical and internal controls.
  • Possess good knowledge of the current financial accounting standards and guidelines.
  • Able to work independently, able to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good personality, pleasant individual and a team player. Able to supervise and coach subordinates when necessary.
  • IT proficient and familiar with the Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting software is essential.
  • Personal Characteristics: Good in communication and managing skills. Possess excellent decision-making, strategic thinking, leadership, interpersonal and ethical conduct skills.
