Job summary

RHB Group is seeking a Senior Account Relationship Manager (Commercial Islamic) to manage and grow an assigned corporate loan portfolio, delivering tailored financial solutions while maintaining a healthy loan book.

You will work closely with clients, internal product teams and the broader Group to drive growth, maximise cross-selling opportunities and ensure high service standards through proactive reviews and regular engagements.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of corporate/commercial banking experience in a recognized financial institution.
• Certified Credit Professional or Omega Credit Skill Assessment (CSA) preferred.
• Strong marketing, business development, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Driven, organized with strong relationship management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an assigned portfolio of corporate clients, maintaining strong relationships.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Account Relationship Manager (Commercial Islamic) to manage and grow an assigned corporate loan portfolio. You will be responsible for strengthening existing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and delivering tailored financial solutions to meet clients’ needs while maintaining a healthy and sustainable loan portfolio.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, internal product partners and the wider Group to drive business growth, enhance client relationships and maximise cross-selling opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage and service an assigned portfolio of corporate clients, with a focus on maintaining strong and sustainable relationships.
• Develop and execute business development plans to grow the assigned corporate loan portfolio.
• Identify, initiate and assess new business opportunities, prospects and potential corporate clients.
• Deepen existing client relationships by understanding their business needs and providing appropriate banking solutions.
• Drive cross-selling and cross-referral opportunities across the Bank and RHB Group’s suite of products and services.
• Maintain regular client visits and engagements to stay informed of market developments, customer needs and emerging opportunities.
• Monitor and proactively manage the assigned loan portfolio to maintain sound credit quality.
• Conduct timely periodic reviews of the assigned portfolio and assess relevant market developments, adverse news and account conduct that may impact borrowers’ credit profiles.
• Work closely with the Client Coverage Team and relevant product partners on account planning and client solutions.
• Act as the liaison for the assigned portfolio on cross-selling initiatives and engagements with internal stakeholders and external parties.
• Deliver high service standards by addressing client enquiries, resolving issues and managing complaints effectively.
• Build strong inter-divisional relationships to facilitate seamless service delivery and enhance the overall client experience.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience in corporate banking or commercial banking within an established financial institution.
• Preferably a Certified Credit Professional or a candidate who has passed Omega’s Credit Skill Assessment (CSA).
• Strong marketing, business development, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Driven, organized, and equipped with strong relationship management capabilities.
