The Senior Account Executive is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the Account/Finance Department. This role ensures accurate recording of financial transactions, maintains general ledgers, assists in financial reporting, and supports month-end and year-end close processes. The Senior Account Executive also oversees and checks the work of junior clerks where necessary.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers, ensuring timely posting of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
Verify, allocate, and record financial transactions into appropriate journals and accounting systems.
Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
Manage and reconcile stock records, fixed assets, and other related accounts.
Oversee petty cash management and review staff expense claims for accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and process payment vouchers, invoices, and other supporting documentation.
Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, standards, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance, training, and support to junior accounting staff in daily operations.
Safeguard sensitive financial information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties or special assignments as directed by management.
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience.
Proficient in accounting software (i.e. AutoCount or similar), Microsoft Office Tools and any AI tools (i.e. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and others).
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
