The Account Executive is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the Account/Finance Department. This role ensures accurate recording of financial transactions, maintains general ledgers, assists in financial reporting, and supports month-end and year-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accurate financial records, ledgers, and supporting documents.
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims, payments, and expenses in a timely manner.
- Prepare and arrange payments (cheques, online transfers, petty cash disbursements, etc.).
- Assist in payroll processing and basic tax/statutory computations (EPF, SOCSO, PCB, etc.).
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate any variances or discrepancies.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, internal controls, and relevant financial regulations.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
- Support other ad-hoc tasks and assignments within the finance department.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Minimum 1-2 years relevant working experience.
- Proficient in accounting software (i.e. AutoCount or similar), Microsoft Office Tools and any AI tools (i.e. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and others).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
