Job summary

Halo Industries Malaysia is seeking a Chargeman BO to operate and maintain 33kV/11kV substations, supervise LV Chargemen, and ensure safety and compliance with ST rules.

You will coordinate with Facilities Engineering, Manufacturing, and contractors for commissioning, shutdowns, and continuous operation in a high‑tech semiconductor environment; requires valid Chargeman BO and 10+ years of relevant experience. Strong leadership and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Chargeman BO competency by ST with appropriate installation authorization.
• Experience with 33kV/11kV substations and industrial electrical distribution.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong knowledge of transformers, switchgear, protection systems, LOTO and PTW.
• Experience supervising LV Chargemen and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe operation and maintenance of 33kV/11kV substations, switchgear, transformers, and related systems.
• Coordinate and supervise switching, isolation, LOTO, and power restoration per procedures.
• Monitor performance, loading, power quality, and reliability; investigate faults and interruptions.
• Coordinate with TNB, contractors, and stakeholders for supply, shutdowns, energization, and restoration.
• Lead LV Chargemen supervisors and allocate maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, PTW, LOTO, safety requirements and maintenance schedules.
