Job summary

Pekat RE Maintenance Sdn Bhd, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Chargeman BO (33kV) to lead the operations of a utility-scale solar PV plant. The Control Room Supervisor will oversee real-time monitoring, HV/LV equipment operations, troubleshooting, safety compliance, and field-team coordination.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on HV (33kV) experience, a Chargeman BO certificate, and strong knowledge of protection relays, grid regulations, and SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold Chargeman BO Certificate – 33kV (ST).
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in High Voltage (33kV) electrical operations, switching, and switchgear maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of protection relay systems, PPC, AGC/AVC, grid connection requirements, Electricity Supply Act, and ST/TNB/GSO grid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site personnel, including Chargeman and Technicians, ensuring safe, efficient operations.
• Oversee 33kV HV system operations, switching programmes, PTW, LOTO, and real-time monitoring via SCADA.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate site records, weather updates, switching records, and client communications.
