Job summary

Carsem is seeking a Test Finishing planner to create, manage, and optimize production schedules at its Ipoh facilities. The role focuses on meeting customer demand, delivery timelines, and quality standards, while coordinating with manufacturing and operations teams.

The ideal candidate will analyze demand forecasts, manage WIP, and continuously improve capacity, material availability, and efficiency in a fast-paced semiconductor packaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Analyze demand forecasts, sales orders, and inventory levels to plan production.
• Manage daily tracker for urgent devices required by customer and reviewed during internal/external meeting.
• Ensure prompt and professional response to customers/factory enquiries in a timely manner.
• Monitor production work in progress (WIP) and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or changes.
• Optimize capacity utilization, labor, and equipment efficiency.
• Communicate production plans clearly to manufacturing and operations teams.
• Track KPIs such as output, lead times, and inventory levels.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports in MRP system.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost-reduction efforts.
• Monitors and controls inventory to ensure targets are met (Inventory Turns).
• Coordinates with Material Planning to assure availability and timeliness of materials and parts required to support established schedules.
