Job summary

Carsem (M) Sdn. Bhd is seeking an experienced Executive Planner in Ipoh to support production planning, manage schedules, and monitor material availability across cross‑functional teams, ensuring on‑time delivery in a fast, high‑mix manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Production, Engineering and Purchasing, updating ERP/MRP data, and identifying bottlenecks. Semiconductor industry exposure is a plus for this global leader with multiple sites.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years in Production Planning or related functions.
Experience in a manufacturing environment; semiconductor exposure is an advantage.
Familiar with production scheduling, capacity planning, material planning and inventory control.
Proficient in Excel and planning systems; strong cross-department coordination.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production plans to support customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
Monitor production loading, material availability, and lead times to ensure smooth production flow.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing and other departments to meet delivery commitments.
Update and maintain planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
Track production progress and identify bottlenecks or material shortages.
Prepare planning reports and support production performance analysis.
Ensure schedules align with capacity, material availability and customer requirements.
