Job summary

Robert Bosch Semiconductor Manufacturing Penang Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a maintenance engineer for the semiconductor test line in Penang. The role focuses on maintenance per plan, downtime analysis, and electrical/mechanical/electronic repair of equipment.

Responsibilities include PCB testing, circuit diagram updates per engineering specs, and ensuring spare parts availability while collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve quality and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in relevant engineering functions.
• Experience with consumer electronics testing machines and sensors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance according to maintenance plan on machine and calibration (Tester).
• Analyze downtime reasons of the equipment and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic components; release equipment per engineering spec.
• Localize failures on measurement boards and PCBs; repair boards.
• Prepare daily overview on BIN topics.
• Autonomously adapt and extend circuit diagrams per engineering specs.
• Coordinate with equipment engineer to reduce failures, improve quality and cut costs.
• Analyze failures on carriers.
• Coordinate changes with lead plant engineering.
• 8D problem solving and disposition of lots.
• Instruct Operators aligned with production management.
• Support production.
• Support FMEA and Control Plan.
• Ensure spare parts availability.
• Execute other duties as assigned by supervisor.
