Job summary

Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a hands-on engineer to maintain semiconductor testing equipment at the PgP5 site. You will perform maintenance per plan, calibrate machines and analyze downtime to improve reliability.

Responsibilities include localizing failures on measurement boards and PCBs, aligning equipment to supplier specs, updating diagrams, supporting FMEA and Control Plans, and coordinating with suppliers and engineering. A 3–5 year engineering background is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in relevant engineering functions.
• Experience with consumer electronics testing machines or sensors is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance according to maintenance plan on machines and calibration.
• Analyze downtime reasons and repair mechanical, electrical and electronic components.
• Localize failures on measurement boards and repair PCBs.
• Mechanical and electrical alignment of equipment per supplier specifications.
• Autonomously adapt and extend circuit diagrams per engineering specs.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers on appointments and questions; monitor due dates.
• Develop measures to reduce failures, improve quality/output and reduce costs with engineering.
• Analyze failures on carriers and their repair; maintain carriers.
• Commission carriers according to specifications and align changes with lead plant engineering.
• 8D responsibility and hold lots disposal; instruct operators per production management.
• Support FMEA and Control Plan; ensure spare parts availability.
