Job summary

Adecco in Malaysia seeks a software engineer for automation and industrial equipment projects. You will develop, debug, test, and maintain software for machine applications, and support deployments at customer sites.

You will collaborate with R&D and production teams, manage releases using version control, and contribute to documentation and beta testing. Occasional travel to customer locations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Software/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of software development experience in automation/manufacturing industries.
• Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software applications.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with machine control systems or industrial software preferred.
• Familiar with version control and Agile methodologies.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support/testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance existing software modules and machine applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer and production issues through software fixes.
• Implement engineering change requests and new software features.
• Perform software testing, simulations, and validation on actual equipment.
• Manage software releases using version control and issue tracking tools.
• Prepare and maintain software development and release documentation.
• Provide technical support for R&D projects and customer-related issues.
• Support software installation and beta testing at customer sites (travel required).
