Job summary

Head of Assembly Operations based in Ipoh, Malaysia, leads end-to-end assembly operations for FOL, EOL and backend processes across multiple production lines. Drives throughput, efficiency, and utilization while meeting global customer expectations on delivery and quality.

This role champions Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, collaborates with engineering, quality and supply chain, and mentors large manufacturing teams to build a high-performance culture and scalable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in semiconductor assembly environments with FOL/EOL and backend operations.
• Proven capability to manage large manufacturing teams and drive performance.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning skills to align operations with business goals.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end assembly operations covering FOL and EOL processes.
• Oversee multiple production lines to optimize throughput, efficiency, and utilization.
• Drive achievement of production targets across quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Develop and execute assembly operations strategies aligned with business needs.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to enhance productivity and reduce cost.
• Monitor and improve KPIs across manufacturing operations.
• Support NPI and process transfer activities and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
