Job summary

Shopee Malaysia is seeking an Account Manager to oversee seller relationships on our platform. You will manage seller accounts, drive growth in transaction volume and program participation, and pitch programs over the phone.

You will educate sellers on Shopee's core platform programs, build lasting trust, and negotiate deals within program parameters. A bachelor's degree and experience in account management or sales are required, with a strong interest in ecommerce and English fluency; Mandarin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field, with working experience in Account Management, Business Development or Sales
• Strong interest in e-commerce
• Prior experience in social media-related roles would be a plus
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Innovative problem-solving skills; able to dissect and identify problems and implement solutions accordingly
• Excellent command of English and ability to converse fluently in other languages (e.g. Mandarin, Malay) will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Account management for sellers on Shopee's platform
• Ensure the growth of sellers under management both in terms of transaction volume and program participation
• Pitch programs to sellers over the phone and foster relationships
• Manage a large volume of phone calls for seller account management follow-ups and sales pitches
• Educate sellers on the details and benefits of Shopee’s platform program and Shopee’s commerce program
• Build long-term relationships and foster trust with sellers under management
• Negotiate deals with sellers within the parameters of the program that Shopee has determined
