Job summary

Teck Guan Group in Tawau, Sabah seeks a capable technician to assist in installation, maintenance and operation of security and electrical systems. You will support senior team members, follow safety guidelines and work with security and IT teams to ensure seamless system integration.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience or fresh graduates, with STPM/SKM/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics and PW2/PW4 as an advantage. Willingness to travel and outstation work is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in electrical work, installation, or technical support (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, wiring, and security operations is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand basic wiring diagrams and manuals.

Job description

Assist in installation, maintenance, and operation of security and electrical systems.

Carry out assigned tasks and ensure work is completed according to instructions and standards.

Support senior team members in troubleshooting, repairs, and technical work.

Install and configure electrical wiring for security equipment such as CCTV, GPS, Starlink, and communication systems.

Perform basic testing and troubleshooting to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

Assist in maintenance and upgrading of electrical and surveillance systems.

Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and company procedures.

Provide on-site support for installations and attend to repair works when required.

Work closely with security and IT teams to support system operations and integration.

Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.

Assist in daily security operations and follow-up tasks.

Support investigations by gathering information, reviewing CCTV footage, and preparing basic reports.

Monitor security systems such as CCTV, access control, and GPS tracking systems.

Conduct routine checks and report any issues or irregularities.

Prepare basic documentation and reports as required.

Support emergency response and incident handling when needed.

Requirements

Minimum STPM, SKM Level 3/4, Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent, with PW2 or PW4 certification considered an added advantage.

1–2 years of experience in electrical work, installation, or technical support (fresh graduates may be considered).

Basic knowledge of CCTV systems, wiring, and security operations is an advantage.

Able to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.

Basic troubleshooting skills for electrical and technical systems.

Able to read and understand basic wiring diagrams and manuals.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willing to learn and take guidance from senior staff.

Able to work under pressure and handle assigned tasks responsibly.

Willing to travel and work outstation when required.
