Job summary

EPF Malaysia is seeking a Security Systems and Technology Manager to lead physical security, coordinate procurement and budgeting of equipment, and develop security policies. Job description

The role requires direct reporting to the Head of Unit and responsible for physical security systems and technology, including coordinating the procurement and budgeting of security equipment, developing and maintaining electronic security systems, preparing business plans and security policies, enforcing house rules, and managing training programs. To monitor compliance with safety regulations, conduct audits, enhance security controls, investigate accidents, and manage fire drills. Additionally, to establish relationships with relevant agencies, review manuals, and perform other duties as directed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Systems and Technology:

  • Coordinate the procurement of approved budget items for the current year.
  • Coordinate the requirements for operational security equipment and prepare the budget for the following year.
  • Develop and improve electronic security control systems.
  • Update, maintain and support security systems and facilities, including CAMS, ACTAS, CCTV, TSCM, Security Control & Command Centre, and other related security systems and technologies.

2.Procurement and Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate the preparation of RFI, RFQ, RFP, technical specifications and tender evaluations for security systems and related services.
  • Coordinate vendors and contractors in project implementation, testing, commissioning and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor vendor performance and compliance with contractual requirements, SLA, KPI, project timelines and other related requirements.

3.Strategy and Planning:

  • Prepare business plans and annual budgets.
  • Create and review security policies and procedures.
  • Strategize new technologies with regards to security system.
  • Plan and manage development allocations.
  • Enforce 'EPF House Rules' at Menara Kwasa Damansara through regular inspections.

4.Operations and Management:

  • Coordinate, collaborate and implementing training programs.
  • Meet the training KPI set by management.
  • Monitor the implementation of regular training at all branches as planned.

5.Compliance and Audit:

  • Monitor compliance with security system directives through audits.
  • Ensure compliance with acts and regulations such as occupational safety and health, environment, police, and fire department.
  • Oversee the implementation of auditing programs and ISO.
  • Assist in the auditing program in the section.

6.Risk and Safety Management:

  • Enhance security system controls and suggest improvements.
  • Conduct security and safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Investigate and report accidents.
  • Monitor the performance of security systems and take corrective actions if necessary.

7.Training and Development:

  • Manage and develop the competence of members.
  • Organize and coordinate security training and courses.
  • Manage and conduct fire drills at KWSP buildings.

8.Relations and Communication:

  • Establish relationships with relevant agencies.
  • Review manuals and work instructions.

9.Other duties:

  • Perform other duties as directed from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Pass the Malay Language including the oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
  • Possess a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Security Management, Security Technology or other related disciplines, preferably with relevant experience in electronic security systems and security project management.
  • Possess minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Attention to detail, computer proficient, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills and a sense of accountability in handling tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Malay Language, with the ability to convey information professionally and clearly.
  • Able to multitask, good time management, adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be in good physical health and fitness.
  • Minimum height requirements: 163 cm for men and 160 cm for women.
  • Minimum weight requirements: 50 kg for men and 48 kg for women.
  • Body Mass Index: between 19 to 26

Meeting the physical requirements specified in items (9) to (12) would be an added advantage.
