Job summary

WeMAL Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior ELV Technician to install, service and maintain ELV security systems. You will configure CCTV, access control, alarms, and IP-based devices, troubleshoot on-site issues, and perform commissioning and preventive maintenance at customer sites.

Leadership duties include guiding junior technicians and preparing service reports. Travel to client sites and a one-year contract are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in ELV, CCTV and security systems is required.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarms and basic IP networking.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and on-site.
• Willing to guide junior technicians when needed.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test and maintain CCTV, access control, alarm and other ELV security systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with security systems and basic networking.
• Perform on-site servicing, preventive maintenance, testing and commissioning.
• Configure IP-based devices such as IP cameras, NVRs, routers and switches.
• Provide on-site installation and maintenance at customer sites.
• Prepare service reports and basic technical documentation.
• Guide junior technicians during installation and servicing work.
• Ensure work complies with company standards.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior ELV Technician to support the installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of ELV and security systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and maintain CCTV, access control, alarm, and other ELV security systems.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving security systems, equipment, and basic networking.

Perform on-site servicing, preventive maintenance, system testing, and commissioning.

Configure and troubleshoot IP-based devices such as IP cameras, NVRs, routers, and switches.

Carry out installation and maintenance work at customer sites.

Prepare service reports and basic technical documentation.

Guide and assist junior technicians during installation and servicing works.

Ensure work is completed properly and according to company standards.

Requirements

Relevant experience in ELV, CCTV, security systems, or a related technical field.

Good knowledge of CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and basic IP networking.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and handle on-site technical work.

Able to guide junior technicians when required.

Willing to travel to customer sites.

Possess a valid driving licence.

Candidates who demonstrate strong technical competency and leadership ability may be considered for Supervisor.
