Job summary

ARYZTA Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring sanitation staff to plan and execute cleaning activities across equipment, production lines and facility areas in a fast-paced food processing environment.

You will follow GMP/HACCP standards, maintain chemical safety, support waste management and pest control efforts, and work with production, engineering and quality teams to ensure a clean, compliant operation. Applicants with a diploma in related fields and willingness to flexible shifts are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Food Science, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (internship experience is an advantage).
• Willing to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment and not afraid to get dirty.
• Basic understanding of GMP, HACCP, or food safety standards.
• Strong interest in environmental management and WWTP operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule staff tasks in Master Cleaning Schedule.
• Assist daily cleaning of equipment, production lines and facility areas.
• Follow sanitation practices supporting GMP, HACCP, HALAL, and customer requirements.
• Control inventory, dilution and safe use of cleaning chemicals; ensure SDS availability and training.
• Monitor pest activity and coordinate with pest control contractor.
• Participate in WWTP and Scheduled Waste Management activities.
• Work with production, engineering and quality teams to ensure sanitation operations.
• Review Master Sanitation Schedule after completion of cleaning.

Job description

Plan and schedules staff job tasks in Master Cleaning Schedule (MEX System)

Assist in executing daily cleaning activities for equipment, production lines, and facility areas according to established standards.

Follow and support sanitation practices which support company processes and work procedures ensuring highest quality task are produced in a thoroughly clean environment.

Control inventory, dilution and safe use of cleaning chemical and sanitizer. Ensure SDS are available and staff are trained.

Support compliance with GMP,HACCP,HALAL,FSSC2200, department SSOPs, Master Cleaning Schedule, Chemical Control, Pest Control, Waste Management and others customer requirements..

Ensure workplace safety and policies are followed.

Assist in monitoring pest activity, trending and coordinate with pest control contractor

Participate in Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Scheduled Waste Management activities. The role is designed to develop the individual into a Competent Person (CP) for IETS operations and Scheduled Waste Management, with structured training and certification provided by the company

Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth sanitation operations.

Upon completion of equipment and facility sanitation, reviews the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure all listed procedures have been completed in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner.

Train sanitation staff on SSOP, PPE used, chemical safety/handling and personal hygiene

Investigate sanitation, Pest control or others related deviations, customer complain or micro failure

Occasional night shift support required (approximately 3–4 times per year) to assist with sanitation activities, including special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning initiatives.

Perform other duties and participate in other projects as assigned or required.

Experience and Skills Required

Diploma or higher in Food Science, Environmental Science, Engineering or any related field

In order to become a successful member of the Sanitation department, a person must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, able to keep up in a fast-paced environment, and not afraid to get "dirty."

Basic understanding of GMP, HACCP, or food safety standards is a plus

Strong interest in environmental management, WWTP operations, and compliance

Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
