Schott Glass (M) Sdn Bhd seeks an experienced Cleanroom Facilities Manager to oversee ISO Class 6/7 operations, enforce contamination controls, and monitor environmental conditions in Kedah. You will lead RCA, data-driven improvements, and capital budgeting for cleanroom assets.
The role focuses on continuous improvement, yield enhancement related to contamination, and collaboration with QA, EHS, and production teams to ensure quality and compliance across all activities.
Manage daily cleanroom operations to ensure compliance with ISO Class 6 & 7 standards and customer requirements.
Enforce cleanroom protocols and contamination control practices.
Monitor cleanroom environmental conditions including temperature, relative humidity, and airborne particle counts.
Lead corrective and preventive actions for out-of-control or out-of-specification conditions.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities related to foreign material (FM) contamination.
Implement data-driven solutions using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Why-Why Analysis, and RCA.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cleanroom performance and operational efficiency.
Support yield improvement activities related to contamination control.
Participate in new product introductions, facility expansions, equipment qualifications, and process ramp-ups.
Coordinate cleanroom-related activities such as machine move-ins, hook-ups, and facility modifications.
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), EHS, and other cross-functional teams.
Support internal and external audits related to cleanroom management.
Manage cleanroom operational and capital expenditure budgets.
Monitor and optimize the utilization of cleanroom garments, janitorial supplies, and consumables.
Ensure cost-effective facility operation while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Develop and maintain work instructions, procedures, and training materials.
Conduct training for employees, contractors, visitors, and new hires on cleanroom requirements and best practices.
Support technical competency development within the team.

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Industrial Engineering or related engineering discipline
Minimum 5 years of experience in Cleanroom Facilities Management or a similar role.
Experience within semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, or high-tech manufacturing environments is preferred.
Cleanroom standards, protocols, and contamination control.
Cleanroom infrastructure systems including HVAC systems , Airflow management, FFU (Fan Filter Units), Temperature and humidity control
Facility maintenance and utilities management.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
Foreign Material (FM) contamination investigations.
SAP knowledge is an advantage.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good project management and coordination skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage.
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
