Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations and proposals and conduct product demonstrations with technical clarification.
• Coordinate with engineering and operations teams on customized solutions and support installation follow-up when needed.
• Monitor market developments and maintain accurate sales pipeline and customer records.
• Contribute feedback to improve products and services and build long-term customer relationships through regular site visits.

Role Description

The Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Penang, Malaysia. This position is responsible for engaging with customers and partners to understand technical and operational needs, presenting tailored poultry housing, climate, and egg handling solutions, and preparing quotations and proposals. Daily tasks include conducting product demonstrations, providing technical clarification, coordinating with engineering and operations teams on customized solutions, and supporting installation follow-up when needed. The Sales Engineer will monitor market developments, maintain accurate sales pipeline and customer records, and contribute feedback to improve products and services. The role requires close collaboration with internal colleagues and regular visits to customer sites to build long-term relationships and ensure successful implementations.

Qualifications

• Technical aptitude in mechanical or agricultural systems and the ability to understand poultry housing, climate control, and automation solutions.
• Strong sales and customer relationship skills, including consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and clear proposals, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills in English (and local languages where applicable), with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work on-site and at customer locations, manage multiple projects, and operate both independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Beneficial qualifications include a diploma or degree in engineering, agriculture, or a related field; experience in poultry or livestock equipment; and familiarity with precision farming or automation technologies.
