Job summary

SMC AUTOMATION (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. seeks a sales-oriented professional blending technical understanding with client engagement. The role focuses on promoting automation products, growing accounts, and delivering solutions across a Malaysia market, with emphasis on Mandarin-speaking clients.

The candidate should have a diploma in engineering, business or marketing, and strong communication and organizational skills. Fresh graduates are welcome; on-the-job training provided as needed.

This position is a professional who combines technical expertise with sales skills to promote, sell, and support complex products or services.

Responsibilities:

Specialize in the sales and promotion of technological products and services.

Possess high-level technological knowledge and expertise in automation industry.

Pro-active, aggressive, result-oriented and key player. Cultivate both existing and new accounts, their potential, needs and requirements and providing solutions.

To service existing customer base and develop new business opportunities.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skill.

To have full market knowledge of the sales area.

Call planning efficiency to maximize business opportunity with potential customers.

Requirements:

Education: At least a diploma in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience: Candidates without relevant experience are welcome to apply, as on-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Candidates who are fluent in English & Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients
