Job summary

ELITE BEAUTY ASIA (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD is expanding its retail operations in Malaysia and seeks an experienced Merchandising Supervisor. You will oversee in-house merchandisers and coordinate with outsourced agencies to ensure optimal store coverage, displays, and promotional execution across designated accounts.

You will conduct regular store visits, monitor stock, uphold planograms, and support new store openings and NPD launches. Travel within Peninsular Malaysia is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising or retail operations.
• Experience managing merchandisers or outsourced agencies is an advantage.
• Familiar with pharmacy chains (Watsons, Caring, BIG Pharmacy) and IKA/LKA retail channels.
• Proficient in Excel, including Pivot Tables and lookup functions for merchandising reports.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel within Peninsular Malaysia.

• Travel to outstation sites as required to support operations.

Job description

Responsible for supervising in-house merchandisers and working closely with outsourced merchandising agencies to ensure effective store coverage, proper product displays, promotional execution and smooth merchandising operations across assigned retail accounts.

Responsibilities:

Supervise in-house merchandisers and coordinate with outsourced merchandising agencies on route planning, store coverage, performance monitoring and training. Conduct store visits, spot checks and provide hands-on merchandising support when required.

Monitor store stock availability, report out-of-stock (OOS) issues and follow up with the Sales team on stock-related matters.

Ensure compliance with approved planograms, product displays, pricing, POSM and promotional setups.

Coordinate merchandising support for new store openings, NPD launches, roadshows and fairs, including setup, stock arrangement and dismantling.

Coordinate stock returns, arrange for stock collection or pickup when required, and follow up with relevant teams on return arrangements.

Review merchandising reports, monitor store execution, identify issues and coordinate timely corrective actions with Sales and relevant teams.

Conduct regular store visits and travel to outstation when required to support and monitor merchandising operations.

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising or retail operations, preferably within FMCG, beauty or personal care.

Experience managing merchandisers or working with outsourced merchandising agencies is an added advantage.

Familiar with pharmacy chains such as Watsons, Caring or BIG Pharmacy, as well as IKA and LKA retail channels.

Good Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions and merchandising report analysis.

Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple store activities.

Willing to travel within Peninsular Malaysia, including outstation assignments, as required.
