Job summary

Itik Enak - PG Lean Hwa Trading Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a merchandising and promotions coordinator to manage product displays, inventory, and sampling activities across multiple retail locations.

You will work with store staff to optimize placement and report on sales and customer feedback to management. The role requires Mandarin language skills, with English and Bahasa Melayu as advantageous additions.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM with at least 1 year in sales or merchandising FMCG.
• Able to speak Mandarin; English & Bahasa Melayu advantageous.
• Experience in merchandising, retail, or food sampling preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Stay current with market trends and competitors.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise products and set up promotional displays.

Job description

• Ensure products are displayed in an appealing and organized manner.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring shelves are fully stocked.
• Set up and maintain promotional displays.
• Rotate products according to expiration dates and company guidelines.
• Collaborate with store managers and staff to optimize product placement.
• Responsible to update check in location and display photo execution via WhatsApp
• You shall report to Sales Manager on your daily promotional activity each morning.
• Food Sampling Promotion:
• Set up and operate food sampling stations in designated retail locations.
• Prepare and present food samples in a hygienic and visually appealing manner.
• Engage with customers, providing product information and answering questions.
• Gather customer feedback and report insights to the sales and marketing teams.
• Ensure all food safety standards and guidelines are followed during sampling.
• Customer Service:
• Build strong relationships with store staff and customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Assist customers in locating products and making purchase decisions.
• Reporting & Analysis:
• Track and report on the effectiveness of merchandising and sampling activities.
• Provide regular updates to management on inventory levels, sales, and customer feedback.

• Minimum SPM holder with at least min of 1 years’ experience in sales and merchandising FMCG (Food and Beverage / Frozen Food Products ).
• Able to speak and writing in Mandarin is a Must. Known about English & Bahasa Melayu will be added an advantage.
